INTRODUCTION
GERRY JOE WEISE, has been writing contemporary poetry, ever since the very early 1980s, just after leaving Australia and moving to Germany, where he lived in Munich and Frankfurt am Main. His poetry, verses, and thoughts, underlie his interests in the Universe and the Cosmos, mixed with everyday feelings... Earthly feelings. He delves in the senses, time & space, painting techniques, song-writing, musical themes, nature, ecology, abstract issues, among others. In Rheims and Chaerleville-Mezieres in France, he was part of the Poetic Artistic Movement, and the Rimbaud Poetry Festival in the Champagne-Ardennes, where he got caught up in many performances, musical experiments, and painting, with many French poets (and some Australian poets - Weise's guests) in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The most famous among them being the internationally known Jean-Marie Le Sidaner (now deceased) - who Weise had completed many artistic projects with. As well as illustrations for the world famous Michel Butor. Always experimenting with words and verses, Gerry Joe Weise has always come back to contemporary poetry in some form or other.

Gery Joe Weise has developed a whole body of theory, thanks to his musical practice, which evolves around the notion of rhythm. Here he has created a symbolic universe of his own.
